Do You Believe in Easter? | Easter Sunday 2023 (Jim Shelburne)

It’s easy to get confused about Easter. While Easter is joyful and fun, it’s not really about eggs and bunnies. It’s not about lilies. It’s not about Easter dresses and Easter hats. Easter is about resurrection. It’s about the power of the cross, the weakness of death, the end of any questions about who Jesus really was. In just a few weeks the close followers of Jesus went from a group of people who were devoted fans of Jesus to people who would die for Him. Why? It’s because they saw the empty tomb. They saw Jesus alive after they had seen Him dead. And it changed everything. It can change everything for us, too! The surest sign of the empty tomb is a heart that’s full of Jesus!
