A lot of people have no idea about the true meaning of Christmas. And perhaps a lot of Christians, even though they connect Jesus with December 25th, don’t fully realize themselves the depth of love and planning that went into the perfect gift. The gift of Jesus was certainly no accident on that first Christmas, having been prophesied for hundreds of years; the culmination of that gift, when the skin-covered Son of God was nailed to a cross, was not the unfortunate ending of a badly-planned campaign that God had to miraculously tweak into something grand. The cross was planned , as we are told in Revelation, when Jesus the lamb was “slain before the foundation of the world.”
